Missoula Lunch for Justice

The Montana Justice Foundation (MJF) celebrates its 30th anniversary as part of a special event series spotlighting annual giving. On June 23, 2009, over 100 attorneys, judges, and other community leaders from the Missoula area gathered for the MJF’s Lunch for Justice Event.

A group of local MJF supporters invited their peers to learn more about the MJF and have the opportunity to contribute to the access to justice cause in Montana.

MJF President, Mark Williams served as Master of Ceremonies. The event featured a short video about the MJF and presentations by keynote, Montana Supreme Court Justice James Regnier, (Ret.), Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) volunteer, Heidi Furlong, Montana Legal Services (MLSA) attorney, Ed Higgins, and MLSA client, Bill Deitsch.

The event was a success - raising more than $30,000 in annual pledges and providing valuable information about the MJF, its grantee organizations, and the important work being done in Montana to provide legal aid to the poor and secure access to justice for all.
